Site Issues
I've requested information regarding the recent problems, I've also requested to restart the server today. FYI.
Please feel free to comment....
UPDATE: Our crappy host, which I'm now going to bug (again) the owner about switching, namely HOSTGATOR, sucks so bad, they can't properly do support - causing this issue to lagg on... apologies. I'm tired of it, and so are you, we are going to fix this ASAP, I cannot have another day of yelling uselessly at hostgator to do the job we pay them for. Sorry, GG Netizens.... I've heard your crys, far and wide - I will get this resolved.

Why dont you change your webhost??? jesus christ. I barely use the site anymore because of all the server errors. You should fix this if you want us to actually hang around.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering why I couldn't get on for the past 2 days. Earlier this afternoon it worked for 10 minutes and I was excited but quickly disappointed lol. But yeah, I hope this is resolved and you get a better host! Best of luck because this site is great.

I'm not even interested in this site anymore because every time I try to sign on, I get a "website is offline" error. This has been this way for at least 2 days... but of course you only post about it now.

ReplyDeleteNone of us pay for our accounts right? So stop bugging the person who created this site for us to pay someone else for a site WE use for FREE. It's stated they are trying to get it fixed. The issue is in someone else's hands who isn't doing their job properly. Chill.

Since the site's creator passed away, ironically there were never issues before morgan the wonder pony came aboard. They get paid well enough from the ads or they wouldn't have some woman's site up that died for nothing.

I've tried Youtalktrash several times but no one is ever on there and majority of the youtubers have little to no activity.

ReplyDeleteThat's not how hosting works. He might have paid up for a couple of years he can't get refunded but hosts can't make contracts to keep your site with them.
DeleteYou know if you are in need of a better host I would recommend you to go Webline-Services.com They will migrate you for free from your current host and you will not have any of these issues.
ReplyDeleteI left this site around a year ago and been back to check out Jeffree Star drama. Then this happens.. Sad to see that Morgan is still running the show. You guys should try and get in touch with the old mods from around a year ago, we have receipts on this guy committing felonies including assault.. Fucking wack. And now he's in charge of a website owned by a dead woman with access to thousands of (mostly women's) email addresses and private details.. Okay... I made the right decision to leave.

Sam has a thread, it's moved slow, but it always works and if we can make it home if everyone goes over there. Hope to see you! DeleteYou are a bad business man. You think you can invest minimal money into some cheapo host and people will come back anyways cause they "crave" the drama. Your site isn't the only gossip site out there and people WILL move on. I bet you are making big bucks with this site, but guess how much more you'd make if people could actually access it whenever they pleased? That would mean more ad revenue for you, so more money. Investing in a better host will make you more money in the end because you will get more visits and people won't leave this shitshow off a site. You got a good thing going, but it won't last long the way you run it.

And to all the upset beezies, I don't think it's worth calling out this guy on his bullshit, I think everyone knows it at this point and he just doesn't care. To him we are just cash-cows.
I'm gonna use ad-block when visiting the site from now on (if it's ever up again) until the issues are resolved, and it would be great if others would do that too.
I think we should all head over to YouTalkTrash.com since it's just like GG, but actually runs properly.

ReplyDeleteI guess he is REALLY greedy and doesn't want to change to a more expensive host, so he sticks with the crappy one and hopes it will work out for him somehow and the site will be in it glitchy and unstable glory once again in a few days. He's obviously not a very smart person.
DeleteWhatever is going on, I hope it ends up getting fixed. I've been here for so long I don't want to go elsewhere, but the constant error messages are really starting to grate on me. I've been to thegossipbakery and I gotta say, I'm impressed...it's apparently a new site and while it's still small it has active threads while YTT seems to have had almost no activity for months. I hate to give up on GG but this nonsense has been going on for far too long and there seems to be no guarantee that it won't keep happening.

GG has been fucking itself for MONTHS, you're lucky if you can ever get on the site and have it working smoothly. Those of us from the velvetgh0st threads moved over to YTT after the mod banning fiasco and the threads move super fast over there now. Not to mention the site is never down and super reliable.
ReplyDeleteThe gossip bakery place looks ok but it's no more active than YTT. It doesn't matter which one you choose but just choose something and move on from GG. It's never going to get better, months ago when the site was down daily it was apparently to "improve" the site but it's been awful ever since. There's no reason for the site to be down for days at a time, it's just bullshit.
