Yes, We know, we apologize, over and over again.... However, until we are able to switch hosting providers and setup multiple servers, we will have these problems. Sorry, remember though, we are a free site, so at least you aren't paying for downtime. Please have patience, we are working to resolve this major issue...

The owners/developers are profiting off of everyone addicted to these forums so the least they can do is provide consistency for the people paying their bills. There is no other forum on the internet with as many issues as GG and many of the forums have 10x the users. Also, many users donated money to this forum (for upgraded servers) about a year ago yet here we are. Very sketchy.

I remember you talking a big game about getting new servers but obviously we didn't if you're just NOW deciding to switch. The IT support (Morgan) on this forum is an absolute joke.

ReplyDeleteEvery site I visit is a "free" site. None have these problems. Guru Gossip has had these problems for YEARS. This isn't something new. It just keeps getting worse. It's to the point now where I can't use it 90% of the time. It's time to go elsewhere for me.

They're really embarrasing themselves, the forum has been down for over a day now and has been having issues non-stop for months, YEARS. You don't get ad money when no one is able to view the ads because of the site always being down, ya dumb fucks lmao.
I vote for using GOMI in the meantime. It at least has enough users to make it worthwhile. I looked at talk trash, and there's hardly anyone there talking about the people I watch.

Exactly! Then you have the ones who do technically have accounts but never log in. Or will make an account because they feel so "wronged" by the conversation at hand, like somehow we are talking about their personal issues whether it be mental, physical, sexuality, body size, maternal, or what have you.. Then a huge argument breaks out and if the thread isn't frequented by a mod one will randomly show up and blame everyone but the lurker.

Why is Morgan even still admin for GG, after all the shit that has been exposed about him??? He doesn't even do a good job, he's a terrible admin and the whole site is going downhill because of it. I haven't been able to login for three days now!!! And no, the site isn't "free", it makes money via ads AND via donations. The donations were meant to buy server space, but CLEARLY Morgan is using the money for himself because the site is as slow and shitty as ever.

Delete- not doing any proper and working updates/server uprades
- placing 100000 ads
- taking that money from ads and clicks
- laughing about the people who still use that site
People need to understand he doesn't care at all (well, as long as he gets the money for doing nothing).
What has Morgan done? And I do agree that the site has way too many issues that shouldn't be happening when there are people who have donated to keep it running, and so many patient loyal users on there. It should be running smoothly with all the years it's been around anyway. I have no qualms about talking bad about a site that barely runs, there is no excuse for it on GG, whose popularity has been withstanding for a long time now..
ReplyDeleteI have an account but almost never log in because the "keep me logged in" feature doesn't even work. Literally everytime I check keep me logged in but it never does. I'm not about to manually log in everytime I visit because often I don't post. I'm sure that's why it seems like there are so many lurkers on the board, the site's just broken.

The only reason I'm still on GG (apart from the fact that threads are more active on GG) is because the design is so freaking confusing. I'd love if they made a very similar design to GG. It doesn't have to be colors or something like that but the structure and navigation needs to improve.
At the moment I'm not happy with either of them but I'd rather go over to YouTalkTrash than stay on GG.
The only reason Morgan is still here is because he's only in for the money. A 30 something guy who is a computer freak doesn't care about 20 something girls who like to chat about beauty gurus.
I hope we will soon have a good site again (whatever site that may be)..
I don't understand how it's confusing? It's just like GG, in fact there's a thread there making fun that Morgan made it look like ytt. You click "forum", find your topic and post. But I doubt any admin will be here, post in suggestions there.

The site has been down for an unusually long period of time now. Perhaps it's best if we start looking elsewhere for the same service GG used to provide? It would be a pain to set up, but easy to maintain once it was. It would save all the trouble that GG's administrators seem unwilling to tackle.

Deleteyoutalktrash is never going to be successful if they don't get more members. This isn't going to happen at the moment as people aren't getting their emails from them. GOMI is the forum for me at the moment I think. At least it works! People really need to comment on gurus youtube videos though to let people know where we are going instead of GG, or none of these forums are going to be worth participating in.

Did you know Morgan has a criminal background of harassing and assaulting women? He's been arrested three times for it. There's also screenshots proving that he goes through GG members' private members and has stolen a handful of users' passwords. He stole the password of an old GG mod and posted to her Twitter after she died pretending to be her, telling people to go to GG.

DeleteThe site seems to work for me as long as I don't try to go to any of the threads. (Which completely defeats the purpose of a forum). I can see the index page, the trash a guru list, and everything. But the moment I try to get into the latest thread, I get error messages.

ReplyDeleteSite worked for about 5 mins earlier today and is down again for me now. I seriously have no problem with the site going offline for a week or so to sort itself out or whatever it needs to do. It's only a gossip site at the end of the day.
