BACK ONLINE!

If you are redirected here, please leave a comment and I'll be sure to check this and take a look, but as far as I know the site is now live again and working as expected, with the exception of tapatalk and i believe one plugin that is not compatible with the new forum software update yet. Anyway, apologies for the additional day of downtime, that is completely my fault. I thought I had turned it back on, when I actually didn't and left you all forwarded here.... in my defense I was dead tired when i did that. So HAPPY GOSSIPING! Please let us know right away if there are any outstanding issues and I will get on top of that as soon as I can. Also I will be looking into tapatalk integration this weekend. Thanks.

Updates - Attention Gossipers!

GG netizens, I'm working all day tirelessly to get things back up and in working order, My apologies, but i needed the server temporarily offline to do some changes. i should have it back online today, FYI. Until then, please have patience and we do appreciate those who have been loyal to us for so long. I'm hoping to somehow "pay you back" ... I'm just not sure how yet.... But thank you again for your patience and understanding. A hint of things to come, btw, is that we are working on building a Discord server - some of you will like this idea and some of you likely will hate it, but it will help with communication when the site is offline and is an additional little nook of the GG community - or at least it will be I'm sure. I know Facebook as been the goto or here in comments when the (pardon my language) "shit hits the fan" - but I wanted to have something more solid. Anyway, feel free to comment on this post and let me know what you all think of that. Also I should have forum updated and plugins and will be working towards fixing tapacrap soon. SSL Issues and Updates - the update

So things had been so stable, until suddenly the failure of SSL and site went down. We caught it within hours and have it back up, just not on SSL yet. We're working on it and will have it back to a secured status as soon as possible. Also there are some updates we might be able to squeeze in while we're at it. Anyway, that's the current state of affairs, FYI.

Updated YTMD & GG to the Latest Forum Software

CleanTalk AntiSpam Extension Installed on both sites

This new extension should alleviate our effort to fight the spam. Especially on YTMD, we've been having quite a bit of spam lately, so this is great to have. This extension can deny registrations and posts altogether, saving moderators time and saving database space. If you feel you are having issues related to this feature, please contact us via email.

Both Sites Running Really Well

By Golly I think we've got it! Finally was able to make some headway on the performance issues plaguing the sites. Both YTMD and GG are now loading quickly and without errors, and now I can focus on a few other minor issues - such as spam protection. Remember, if you try to access the site and get redirected here, I could be doing maintenance or fixing something. Have some patience and attempt to wait a few minutes before trying again. I usually don't take long to make adjustments, so you'll likely be back to your gossip quickly.

Successful Upgrades

Both YTMD and GG have now been upgraded to the latest forum software. This was a success and we are glad to be back online! HOWEVER - We have noted slow loading times and some weird issues that we are investigating, apologies if you get kicked over here to the blogspot while we do this. It is necessary.

Sites Offline for Upgrade

You are seeing this because our sites are currently offline at this time, due to an upgrade currently being performed on both sites. GG and YTMD are getting a software upgrade right now!!! Until further notice, they will be offline. As soon as they come back online, you will notice some changes. We hope this brings an end to some errors and makes the sites more stable and improves performance in general. We will post updates here and on Facebook to let you all know the status of the upgrade during this time. If you can't wait until the site comes back up, feel free to drop some comments below and start a conversation about whatever. Thank you for your continued support! We want to give thanks to all our members and wish you all a Happy New Year this 2019!

Also, we have some additional news regarding a software upgrade we will be performing this month. There will be 2-3 days where the site will be offline unfortunately while performing the upgrade. I'm working with the moderators to narrow down an exact time frame, however, it is tentatively planned for mid month this January 2019! This new upgrade will get the forum software to the newest version, which will cause some changes to a few things. So far, during testing, I've been able to get most of the important add on features updated as well for the new version, ie: the thanks feature and some moderator functions. I've also been adjusting the new style to look similar to the existing site as it is now. Hopefully after the update we will see even less errors than before and I'm hoping it improves load times overall as well.
